Begins with short phrases in everyday books, newspapers and TV broadcasts to help students build their vocabulary. Progresses to literary understanding and appreciation so that reading in Chinese is no longer difficult. 4
Required Guide to Chinese Writing Focuses on improving Chinese writing ability. Begins with writing of Chinese characters. Progresses to writing ability training and guidance so that students can write letters in Chinese and express their thoughts and feelings. 4
