National Taiwan Normal University Academy of Preparatory Programs for Overseas Compatriot Students-formerly known as National University of Preparatory School for Overseas Compatriot Students- is the only educational institution to offer overseas Compatriot students preparatory courses for university in Taiwan.
In March 22, 2006, the National University of Preparatory School for Overseas Chinese Students merged with National Taiwan Normal University, and changed its name to [National Taiwan Normal University Academy of Preparatory Programs for Overseas Compatriot Students]. It maintains the function of National University of Preparatory School for Overseas Chinese Students, which assists students to complete the pre-university education and distributes them to different universities in Taiwan.
The graduates of NUPS were distributed successfully to various public and private universities, and the admission rate of popular subjects is about 70~80% and above. After graduation from the universities, some choose to continue further studies and some return home to service overseas compatriot communities. Their outstanding performances give huge contribution.

In the 2024 , Our students come from Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macau, Europe, America, and other regions.
Among them, Myanmar has the largest proportion of students (76.5%), followed by Indonesian students (8.66%).
